Speaking of SunFest, Grammy award winner Sheryl Crow performed last night and had a special visit from Eric Clapton. Reviews were good and I wish we could have attended but it was a "school night" and we have to get up early for work. We did see Sheryl Crow in 2004 at the Killarney Summerfest when she opened up for the Corrs. She was awesome and an uber boudica pick.
Click on the link to this year's festival. It is a great venue to build a trip around and a convenient base for exploring the Dingle Peninsula and sightseeing on the Ring of Kerry. http://www.killarneysummerfest.com If you go, you must also see Muckross House, Killarney National Park, Moll's Gap, etc.
Here are some links for luxury accommodations, after all, you are on vacation.

Another "must do" is to stop and eat at O'Neills, The Point Restaurant, at Renard Point. It is beside the Valencia Island Ferry and a lively spot to have a Guinness, eat some fresh seafood and enjoy the friendly locals. http://www.ireland-guide.com/establishment/oneills_the_point_bar.3607.html
All this talk of Killarney Summerfest, the Ring of Kerry and The Point is making the travel bug bite.
Until next time...
