With its unique and scenic surroundings, on the banks of the Danube, the Petrovaradin Fortress provides a stunning backdrop for this venue. 
The first Exit Music Festival was in 2001 and it has been successful incorporating and highlighting social ills along with its famous performing lineup. This festival is so special and unique that it won the award of best European Festival at the 2007 UK Festival Awards.
In 2007, of the 170,000 in attendance, over half were from abroad, so you won't feel out of place if you are not Serbian.
There are 19 arenas with a broad mix of music...all are connected by cobbled streets and tunnels.
There are too many bands to name but here are just a few. Nightwish (the lead singer is awesome), Primal Scream, Sex Pistols , The Hives, The Streets, Concrete Worms. As you can see, there is an eclectic lineup and a little bit of something for everyone.
Exit is an uber boudica concert pick. Enjoy the experience.
