My Special Day?

Yesterday was my "special day", aka, birthday. They seem to be occurring annoyingly more frequently than they used to.
We celebrated it on Sunday starting with brunch so I didn't have anything earth shattering planned for the real day. My big plan...I was going to sleep in and forgo the gym for the day. Normally Mr. snow and I are at the gym by 5:30 a.m. to get our workouts in prior to work, besides, the critters always wake me up by 5:00 a.m. to be fed (yep, 365 days a year). They don't know the meaning of sleeping in. But Mr. snow was going to handle that, too, on my "special day." Sadly, it was not to happen.

Welcome to my birthday...
5:00 a.m.
Me, sleeping.
Mr. snow, "Happy Birthday, wake up, S (one of the cats) is sick all over the floor and acting weird."
Me, "Huh."
Mr. snow, "You need to see what's wrong with her"
Me, thinking...What's wrong with you?
Mr. snow, "You need to see if she is all right."
Me, thinking...Why can't you look at her and see that?
5:05 a.m.
Me, getting out of bed and stumbling to find the cat.
Mr. snow, directing me to the hot zones, "There is a hairball in the hall and she got sick near the front door."
Me, cleaning up the hot zones in my zombie state (I'm no good until that first cup of coffee).
5:10 a.m.
Mr. snow getting ready to head out the door to the gym, "You need to see how S is; she's acting weird."
5:15 a.m.
Me, falling asleep at the kitchen table with the purring cat in question nestled next to me so I can scratch her belly.
5:20 a.m.
I'm not sure what is weird with the cat but I sure am looking forward to next year's birthday!
Until next time...
