Kudos to Florida's Governor Crist who acted in a manner of responsible stewardship, vetoing potentially disastrous cuts to the Florida Forever Land Acquisition program that had already been approved by the state legislature. The Florida Forever land acquisition program is vital to protecting wildlife in Florida. The country’s largest conservation land buying program, the Florida Forever program has safeguarded more than one million acres of land...important habitat for Florida panthers, bears, sea turtles, manatees and other imperiled critters.
