Week 13 College GameDay At #1 UF Gators vs FSU Noles

Week 13...College GameDay is in Gainesville for the always exciting rivalry between the #1 UF Gators vs FSU Seminoles. Kickoff for this smackdown is 3:30 pm on CBS.

Factoid - The Gators seniors are 46 - 6, the winningest senior class in UF and SEC history. With 21 consecutive wins, they are going for their 22nd against FSU.

Only a couple of weeks ago, I wrote that GameDay had not broadcast from a Gator home game even though they are ranked #1. Think somebody at ESPN is reading slightly north of worth...avenue! Hey Lee, what's your prediction?

For those in Gainesville for the game, you have to try Satchel's Pizza in NE Gainesville. Not in the best of locations but that only adds to the quirkiness of this fabulous pizza joint. Pizza, salad and calzone are the only menu items plus homemade baked goods. BTW, there is only one type of salad - Satchels salad - a choice of small or large and it is always fresh. Mr snow and I have our regular order of deep dish with roasted red peppers, black olives, fresh basil and feta cheese. A work of art and mmmm good! We have waited up to 1 1/2 hours for a table so you know the pizza is something special.

Insider tip - the "lightnin salvage" - combo old school five & dime/small flea market/antique store - behind the main building has tables where you can eat a takeout pizza and order drinks. There is live music - from 6 pm to 9 pm - so click here for the schedule. A uniquely "Gainesville" experience.

You know who I'm rooting for...Go Gators!

Week 12...College GameDay In Tucson For #11 Oregon vs Arizona

Week 12...College GameDay is in Tucson for the #11 Oregon Ducks vs Arizona Wildcats. Kickoff is at 8:00 pm est (5:00 pm pst) on ABC.

I can't believe the regular college football season is almost over...wow it flies by! At least we have the SEC Championship - 5 December - and bowl games to look forward to.

Week 11...College Gameday In Fort Worth And Other Football Stuff

Week 11...and College Gameday is in Fort Worth, Texas for the #4 TCU Horned Frogs vs #16 Utah Utes. Kickoff is 7:30 pm est on CBS College Sports.

Is College Gameday going to show up for any UF Gator games - after all, they are ranked #1.

I'm taking it for granted that Gameday will be in Atlanta at the SEC Championship game on 5 December, #1 UF Gators vs #3 Alabama Crimson Tide.
BTW, have you heard that Florida will wear an alternate "futuristic" uniform for one of its remaining two home games this season? According to Friends of the Program, Florida was one of 10 schools from throughout the country selected to wear the Nike "Pro Combat" uniform. The others are Miami, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Texas, TCU, LSU, Missouri and Oklahoma.

The Florida uniform features blue pants on blue jerseys with no stripes on the pants. The helmets are white. In addition, Florida will wear futuristic gloves designed with alligator scales and the Gator logo. It will say "Finish The Mission". Sounds ominous! What do you think of this look?

Week 10...College Gameday At Army vs Air Force

Week 10...College Gameday is in Colorado Springs for the Army vs Air Force game. Kickoff is at 3:30 pm est.

Let's talk SEC football...the #1 UF Gators host Vanderbilt Commodores. Kickoff is at 7:15 pm est.

Show your school spirit with Stephen Bonanno Sandals. Metallics are shown above but I like the matte color styles best.
For fabulous shopping deals, go to slightly north of worth...avenue deals steals apparel.

Week 9 College GameDay At #5 USC vs #10 Oregon

Week 9...College GameDay is in Eugene for the #5 USC Trojans vs #10 Oregon Ducks. Kickoff is at 8:00 pm et/5:00 pm pt on ABC.

I'm waiting for the #1 UF Gators vs Georgia Bulldogs kickoff at 3:30 pm et on CBS. Dawgs, can you say Gator Bait?

It's always a good time in Jacksonville at the world's largest outdoor cocktail party! The place to be on Friday night before the game is The Landings, on the water in downtown Jacksonville. Get there via water taxi from you hotel and you don't have to worry about driving. Lots of fun!

Week 8 College GameDay At #8 TCU vs #16 BYU

Week 8...College GameDay is in Provo for the #8 TCU Horned Frogs - I'm trying not to laugh - vs the #16 BYU Cougars. It's homecoming at Brigham Young and kickoff is at 7:30 pm est, 5:30 pm mtn.

Week 7...College GameDay At #3 Texas vs #20 Oklahoma And UF Homecoming

It's homecoming weekend in Gainesville as the UF Gators take on the Arkansas Razorbacks tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. Tonight, though, it's Gator Growl 2009. The largest student run pep rally has Saturday Night Live star and comedian, Dana Carvey, as the headliner. He will be accompanied by the band O.A.R. and the winner of America's Best Dance Crew, the Jabbawockeez. The flyover and fireworks are the best part.

It's week 7 and College GameDay is in Dallas for #3 Texas Longhorns - Colt McCoy - vs #20 Oklahoma Sooners - Sam Bradford. Kickoff for the "Red River Rivalry" is at 12:00 noon est on ABC.
Looks like another great college football wekend!

Week 6...College GameDay UF vs LSU Bayou Battle

Week 6...College GameDay is in Baton Rouge for a battle royale. The undefeated #1 UF Gators are coming into town vs the #4 LSU Tigers. Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. est on CBS.

BTW, LSU plans a "goldout" and it's always a tough venue as the game starts with, "It's Saturday Night in Death Valley...and here come your Fighting Tigers of LSU."

We'll see. I'm waiting to hear predictions from Chris, Kirk and, especially, Lee. Hmmm...who's head will Lee be wearing? This is one of the biggest games of the 2009 college football season with scalped tickets selling for thousands of dollars. The going rate for a SEC football ticket is about $50 so this tells you the serious nature of the smackdown.
Teabow is still questionable - cleared in a "limited capacity"- so it will most likely be a game time decision. No question who I'm rooting for...Go Gators!
