2008 Isle Of Wight Music Festival

A can't miss event and only 8 more days until the UK Isle of Wight Music Festival, kicks off with headliners The Police, Kaiser Chiefs on Friday night and the iconic Sex Pistols (who can forget Sid Vicious) on Saturday night. The festival runs from Friday, June 13 thru Sunday, June, 15 and last year it was voted "the best major UK music festival."

Other featured groups include the Kooks, Zutons, Wombats, Stone Gods, NERD. Tickets are sold out but you can still win them by listening to Virgin Radio.

An initiative by the promoters has resulted in Eco Action to make the event more ecologically aware and sustainable. There are even green travel options available. The isle is accessible only by car/pedestrian ferry or hover craft.

Be sure to visit Osbourne House, Queen Victoria's home on the sea. Remarking on her seaside home the queen said, "It is hard to imagine a prettier spot," so you can imagine it is the top Isle of Wight attraction.
