What is MoGO?
"Scientists at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) Amherst have developed MoGO, a free iPhone™ app that turns you and your iPhone™ into a ‘citizen scientist’ helping wildlife experts find and rescue oiled birds, sea turtles, and dolphins. The MoGO app allows you to take and submit photos of oiled, injured and dead marine and coastal wildlife; tar balls on beaches; oil slicks on water; and oiled coastal habitats, and connects you with the Wildlife Hotline so wildlife experts can find and rescue oiled and injured animals.

Getting started is easy. Download the MoGO app from the Apple Store and start snapping photos. Your photos are automatically geo-tagged and will be added to the MoGO databases. If you find live oiled and injured wildlife, you will be connected at once to the Wildlife Hotline for wildlife experts to rescue the animal."Click here to download this very cool free app. What are you waiting for?
